David is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney. His responsibilities include the prosecution of trade marks, trade mark audits, conducting clearance searches and handling contentious matters such as trade mark opposition proceedings, infringement matters, revocation and invalidity actions.
David works with clients large and small across a very broad range of sectors. Although he enjoys working with clients from all walks of life and has a diverse practice, being a keen footballer and golfer he is particularly interested in sports and apparel/clothing, both inside and outside of work.
David is a regular contributor to the CITMA Review, the membership publication of CITMA – The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and has presented to the CITMA Paralegal Seminar.
David graduated from the University of East Anglia with an Honours degree in Modern History in 2007, following which he completed a Masters degree in Marketing at the University of Kingston. David started his professional career at Keltie in a marketing capacity. He then completed his professional trade mark training at another specialist IP law firm (qualifying as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and European Trade Mark Attorney in 2015) before returning to Keltie in 2019.
