Manuela's substantial trade mark practice ranges from clearance searches and prosecution, to due diligence projects, oppositions and other contentious matters, negotiations and IP focussed contracts. She manages a number of worldwide trade mark portfolios being responsible for their overall strategy.

Her client base and experience cover a broad spectrum of industries, but in particular, pharmaceuticals, fashion and sport. In 2013 Manuela founded Keltie's Sports Trade Mark Practice, which she heads. Moreover, Manuela co-heads the Keltie design team responsible for design clearance for prominent jewellery brands.

Manuela is also experienced in domain name, copyright and design matters.

The aim of Manuela's advice is to maintain a commercial perspective and enable clients to make informed business decisions.

Manuela edits Keltie's case commentaries published in the CITMA Review and writes and edits blog pieces for IPCopy. She is involved in professional development as the curator, speaker and moderator of workshops for In-house Trade Mark Counsel held at Keltie every quarter.

Manuela is fluent in English, Italian, French and German. The Legal 500 2015 describes Manuela as "highly knowledgeable and skilled".
The World Trade Mark Review 2019 ranks Keltie in Tier 1 (highly recommended) and states that Manuela is a "Design and sports connoisseur" who "gets her clients, so it’s not just a case of ‘here is the advice’, but ‘here is the advice and how you can implement it to achieve your commercial goal’. She has excellent diplomatic skills, which is great for when you have an aggressive party on the other side of a matter.”

Manuela graduated with a BA Law degree from the Catholic University of Milan (Italy) with a thesis in European Competition Law and Political Economics after achieving a Baccalaureate in Classic Literary Studies at Liceo Cantonale Lugano in Switzerland.

After her degree, Manuela attended a post-graduate course in International contracts at SUPSI (Lugano, Switzerland) and worked in the Swiss financial industry for a short time. She subsequently gained experience in the corporate and commercial litigation departments of two London City law firms and joined Keltie in 2000 becoming a Partner in 2011.

Manuela qualified in 2005 and is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, European Trade Mark Attorney and Member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.
