Keltie has once again been recognised by Chambers and Partners, achieving a Band 2 ranking in the Intellectual Property: Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys category in the Chambers UK 2027 guide.

Partner Alistair Gay has also retained his individual Band 1 ranking, the highest ranking awarded by Chambers. Alistair is recognised for his expertise in trade marks and designs, including registry and portfolio management matters and litigation support for UK and US claims.

The rankings are based on independent research and feedback from clients and other market sources. One client highlighted Keltie’s practical and collaborative approach:

“Keltie take a collaborative and pragmatic approach to working with their clients, focusing on making our lives easy. They always find a solution to the problems I send them and quickly and accurately answer my questions.”

Another praised the team’s combination of technical and commercial expertise:

“What distinguishes this department is its combination of deep technical expertise, commercial understanding and creative, strategic thinking. From the outset, the team demonstrates an ability to quickly grasp a complex innovation and identify patent opportunities where we had assumed none existed.”

Alistair was described as a “safe pair of hands”, with clients particularly valuing his responsiveness, commercial perspective and ability to provide clear, practical advice.

“Alistair is very responsive and makes suggestions on how we can effectively address potential conflicts. He feels like a safe pair of hands and has a nice manner about him.”

The latest recognition reflects Keltie’s continued commitment to providing commercially focused intellectual property advice in plain English, supported by strong technical expertise and a collaborative approach to client relationships.
