Location and access

Cirencester gives us a perfect base for clients in the West of England and Wales, being particularly convenient for the Midlands and the West Country. Our people there provide an extension of our London team and remain regular visitors to our London office.

Our Cirencester office is just 13 miles from Swindon and Gloucester and within walking distance of Cirencester town centre.

It is located off the A429 Bristol Road, with easy access to the M5 and M4, and London is only 75 minutes away by train from the nearby Kemble station.

If arriving by taxi, ask the driver for 'Watermoor Point on Watermoor Road'.

Security demands that we receive visitors strictly by prior appointment. Appointments can be made outside normal business hours on request.

The Effect of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) on Opposition Proceedings at the European Patent Office (EPO)

The introduction of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) has brought significant changes to the European patent landscape. This article, written by Nathaniel Taylor (of Keltie's Opposition and Appeals team), takes a closer look at the impact of the UPC on opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office (EPO). The article draws on a full year's worth of opposition data - available as of 1 April 2025 - for European patents granted since the Unitary Patent system began (i.e., European patents granted between 1 June 2023 and 1 June 2024). The analysis explores overall trends, technology-specific patterns, and the strategic motives behind relative opposition rates.
