About Lee

Lee joined Keltie in 2024 as part of the Patent Services Team. He successfully completed and passed the CIPA Administrators course in 2001 and was on the CIPA list as an Associate (since upgraded to IP Paralegal in 2018). He has worked for many years in both industrial and private sectors of the Patent and Trademark world.

Over the last 25 years Lee has been dealing mainly with the European Grant Stage of Patents from R71(3) through to the 9-month opposition notice.

During his earlier career, he worked in an industrial Patent department, where he was fortunate enough to have direct contact with some pioneering inventors, such as Nobel prize winning Sir Charles K. Kao who was the lead driving force that created optical fibres. He has prepared and arranged  various forms for signing, as well as scheduling meetings at the laboratories with the inventors, some which required the added presence of a notary public or other legalisation.
