​​​​​Knowledge requirements
  • Candidates should have 1 – 2 years’ experience working within the industry and demonstrate a basic level of understanding of the life cycle of Trade Mark
  • Candidates should hold a CITMA Paralegal qualification, however this is not mandatory

Candidate experience and knowledge
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills are required, together with the ability to work accurately and at pace under pressure
  • Exercise a good level of attention to detail while inputting data into an IP system
  • The role requires the ability to work both autonomously and proactively in a team
  • Candidates must be able to communicate (written and oral) effectively, feeling comfortable in client-facing communications and in working with fee earners to ensure that work is carried out in a timely and effective way to meet client requirements
  • Candidates demonstrate preparedness to work additional hours from time to time to ensure that deadlines are met

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Trade Mark Administrator to join our dynamic Trade Mark Support team. The role is varied and includes all aspects of Trade Mark prosecution, from filing through to registration.

Requirements of the Role
  • Filing new Trade Mark applications directly at the UKIPO, EUIPO, WIPO and Irish IPO, as well as sending instructions to foreign associates worldwide
  • Creating of cases onto the IPMS, from new trade mark cases, contentious and takeover matters
  • Processing incoming communications, both official (UKIPO, EUIPO, WIPO) and from foreign associates to ensure data is accurately recorded onto the IPMS
  • General maintenance of cases on the IPMS
  • Management of all life cycle reporting within the Trade Mark department; preparing and sending reports to the client to ensure all areas of reporting are up to date
  • Management of departmental diaries to maintain up to date records and reporting
  • Management of fee earner diaries to ensure each diary is updated ahead of the following week
  • Management of the critical list to ensure reminders are actioned daily and to ensure deadlines are met
  • Providing on hand support to the Senior administrators and the Paralegals within the team; not limited to additional elements of paralegal work

This is a full-time role, 35 hours, 5 days per week (9.30am to 5.30pm)

Salary: Competitive market salary.
