Location: London Bridge in London

Hours: This is a full-time role, 35 hours, 5 days per week (9.30am to 5.30pm).

 

Requirements of the Role

    • We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Patent Administrator to join our dynamic Patent Services team.
    • The role is varied and includes all aspects of patent administration and formalities, from filing through to grant; primarily involving GB, EP, PCT and design cases.
    • Core duties will include: working with the EPO’s electronic mailbox; saving post to our electronic office centre and document management system, docketing incoming post and sending to fee earners.
    • Other duties will include: recording new cases electronically; creating forms and responses in the eolf - EPOLine classic and 2.0 software, uploading documents for filing at the various patent offices and various other tasks on an ad hoc or regular basis.

 

The Person Specification

    • Candidates ideally would have at least 1 years’ experience of working in a busy patent formalities/records department.
    • Knowledge of working with Inprotech would be an advantage as would passing the CIPA course, however training can be provided, if necessary.
    • This role is ideal for someone who loves working in a varied role with an energetic and friendly team, as well as being competent at working autonomously.
    • Key qualities for this role include exceptional communication and organisation skills, energy and enthusiasm, problem solving skills, excellent written English and, above all else, a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

 

The Candidate

 This opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic and hard-working candidate who will contribute fully to our skilled and friendly team.  Experience in a professional setting is highly desirable, and the ability to engage comfortably with clients and colleagues at all levels is essential.

The candidate will be comfortable with Word, Excel and Outlook; experience with electronic records, document management, finance and billing systems would also be helpful.

A keen eye for detail, strong written and spoken English, and excellent time management with flexibility to adapt as needed are all of critical importance.
