About Alan

Alan joined Keltie in 2022 as the firm’s first Chief Executive. He is responsible for the business strategy and for delivering the firm’s operations, with a focus on the long-term success of Keltie.

Alan’s career has been built on his philosophy that passionate and happy employees are at the core of every successful business and consistently add value.

An expert in operating models, as well as creating sustainable value for organisations, Alan is a qualified management accountant, who leads our operational teams, as well as reviewing our standards, values, processes, and efficiencies. He is responsible for our marketing, sales and service disciplines.

Alan joined us from the Hays Group where he established and led a professional services business, James Harvard. He set out the operating model and business strategy which delivered exceptional growth over a sustained period. His consultative style, people centric beliefs, and value focused approach created a business model which is now being introduced globally across that Group.

In his earlier career, Alan graduated from the University of St Andrews, before joining Marks and Spencer. In his seven years with M&S, Alan led several teams in both stores and head office as well as completing his management accounting qualifications. After a period at Cadbury leading the commercial finance function and a major system implementation, Alan joined the Management Consultancy profession at Atos/KPMG consulting, leading their Banking Practice and assisting with Operating Model Transformation in various leading organisations across multiple sectors.

Away from Keltie, he likes to read, watch sport, play golf and, perhaps unusually amongst CEOs, ride his motorcycle.
