Successful candidates will have an outstanding academic background in a scientific or engineering discipline and will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of how technology works in their fields of interest. Other key qualities include excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, an entrepreneurial drive and a personable attitude. Candidates should be comfortable with the responsibility of interacting with clients directly as well as being confident enough to foster new business relationships.
The types of candidates we need will vary depending upon the role within the business we are recruiting for. In the patents team we require at least first degree in a scientific or engineering disclipline. For the life sciences team further requirements usually include a PhD or equivalent post-graduate research experience in a relevant area of molecular or chemical sciences. For the trade marks practice a legal qualification, such as a law conversion course or law degree may be useful.
