Graduaterecruitment

Every year, Keltie recruits dynamic and talented graduates as assistants to train as patent or trade mark attorneys. We’re proud to have one of the best records for training in our profession, producing some of the finest attorneys.

It all starts with recruiting great people. We’re interested in hearing from anyone whose heart lies with IP.

Many of our assistants started their career with us following undergraduate or postgraduate study. Others changed career after working in research, industry or even another profession.

Our standards are high, the work is challenging and the training is lengthy and tough. So, you’ll need to demonstrate an outstanding academic record, including at least a 2.i degree, a flair for written and spoken English and excellent attention to detail. Capability in another European language is an advantage.

Patent assistant positions require a degree in science, engineering or mathematics. At least 80% of the teaching hours of combined-discipline courses must have been devoted to technical or scientific subjects. Trade mark assistant positions require a degree in law or a business-oriented discipline.
