We require two additional people to provide professional support to patent fee earners, one in the IT/Telecoms team and the other in the Biotech/Chemistry team. Each person appointed will work directly with six fee earners, assisting them with all aspects of their work that do not require technical input. The successful candidates will require excellent organisational skills from coordinating fee earner diaries to dealing with routine secretarial duties. They will need to be able to work accurately under pressure, be willing to work additional hours from time to time to ensure that deadlines are met, be proactive in their assistance to fee earners, and feel comfortable in client-facing communications and in discussing workloads with fee earners to ensure work is prioritised appropriately. Adaptability and flexibility are essential qualities and relevant experience within the legal profession would be desirable. The roles may also develop into handling paralegal duties such as providing cost estimates and assisting with due diligence projects.
