Keltie’s IP Consulting Group works with organisations to manage their intellectual property effectively. It develops and implements strategies that maximise the quality and value of IP while minimising the cost and management burden of owning it.
Drawing on a wide range of top-rank expertise at Keltie, the Group includes attorneys, support staff and other consultants with long experience in industry and private practice. Their experience includes senior in-house IP management and board-level involvement within growing IP-aware companies. Where appropriate, the Group co-opts external specialists to work on issues such as licensing, valuation and taxation.
We offer the Group’s services independently from filing and prosecution work so that its services can be provided even if we do not assume responsibility for a client’s IP portfolio.
The Group helps clients in various ways, from ad hoc advice targeted to specific projects, through to providing resources on an ongoing basis. In some cases, this involves secondment of professional and support staff to in-house departments.
Working with clients ranging from academic institutions to law firms to multinationals, the Group’s approach is resolutely practical – not just talking but doing. Applying our hands-on experience, we work to solve problems and to develop robust systems.
Commercialisation of IP rights is the process of turning innovation into a product or service that can be taken profitably to market. We work with clients to identify how to maximise IP with commercial potential. We also work with companies and inventors looking to establish a technology position or to attract a development partner and/or investment via their proprietary IP.
